Welcome to our very first Book Club inspiration by our community.

We asked Dan, one of the Co-founders of MyLEGACY to tell us a bit more about his inspiration.

After spending some time in the UK, Dan came back to be a part of the community. With his great experience, Daniel helps test customer value proposition (from PoC to MVP), tune your pitch, online marketing, preparation for scaling, and logistics.

While talking to Dan, he and his amazing colleague Mariam (Programme Admin) showed us their internal library. It's great to see such culture of constant self-development in a young company like this one. 🤓

Dan's first recommendation is on a book written by the Managing Director of Viva Legacy and Founder of MyLEGACY.

Its a Swahili Book that is simple but yet effective resource, it will teach you everything from managing business down to personal grooming. The book definitely helps you learn and you can move at your own pace.

Never Split The Difference by Chris Voss

Another recommendation from Dan is on a book where former FBI hostage negotiator that will teach you the art of negotiating and importance of emotional intelligence in business.

Dan says - This is a must read from our library. One of the best books I've ever read!

Happier Workplaces Build More Profitable Businesses by Tony Hsieh

Third and really enthusiastic recommendation is #1 New York Times bestseller written by founder and CEO of Zappos, online she and clothing retail company famous for their culture. The book explains hard facts on how happier company culture benefits your profits.

This is the kind of book every founder should read and learn from when leading a company - Dan said while showing us the book in their library.

To Sell Is Human: The Surprising Truth About Moving Others by Daniel H. Pink

The last book Dan left us with is a book that will give you a fresh look at the art (and science) of selling. This piece will teach you the basics of elevator pitch, how to persuade employees to work for you and investors to invest in your company.
